Participants will learn the importance of having good speaking skills and experience the power of speech as they observe and learn from fellow contestants in the competition.


Participants will realise the innate courage within themselves to conquer their fears as they progress in the competition. It will serve as a stepping stone for them to gain greater courage during this journey.


Participants will get an opportunity to express their ideas and share their thoughts. The brainstorming helps to stimulate their creative thinking process and reinforces their belief that they are capable of coming up with brilliant ideas.


Rose Tan
Veteran Broadcaster/Voice Coach

A veteran broadcaster and voice coach, Rose began her career as a DJ, before rising through the ranks to oversee radio stations like Class 95FM, Symphony 92.4FM and 938LIVE, and subsequently heading up Corporate Communications for MediaCorp Radio. A highly sought-after trainer, Rose has conducted courses like "Basic Phonetics" and "Speech and Presentation Skills" for students; as well as "Speaking with Confidence" and "Clarity in Presentation" for working adults.

Catherine Lau
Asst Chief Executive (NLB)

Catherine is Assistant Chief Executive of the Public Library Group of National Library Board. Besides overseeing operation of 26 public libraries, planning and development of new libraries, as well as content and programming, she is an active member driving the Speak Good English Movement. Catherine's current focus is to lead the NLB team to implement the Library of the Future Master Plan and the National Reading Movement in the next 5 years.

Judith d’Silva
Director (Nexus, MINDEF)

A Director at Nexus in MINDEF, Judith has contributed books for primary school students, including "Little Red Dot Comes Home" and "Things So Singaporean". She co-chairs the Clear Communications Committee to help MINDEF officers communicate clearly and effectively. An active member in the Speak Good English Movement, Judith has given talks at Civil Service College and contributed articles like “How You Can Be Simple and Clear in Public Service".

Aradhana Srivastava
Senior Consultant

Aradhana is a certified trainer and consultant who has helped staff and students of schools like SIM, NTU and SUTD. She has also trained students across the South-East Asia region to develop their communication and presentation skills. A senior consultant at Development Dimensions International, Aradhana provides leadership training and coaching consultancy to corporate giants like DHL, SATS, Changi Airport Group, Carlsberg and AsiaMalls.
